I might need some dance lessons!

City Tournament 2013I am not superstitious.  I suppose that doesn’t make me a very good softball mom.  The good news is I think baseball players are the ones that are really superstitious.  Since it is softball I should be okay.  I am not claiming victory ahead of time.  In fact, that drives me crazy when people do that.  I am all for positive thinking, but counting your eggs before they hatch is always a bad idea in anything competitive.  I AM competitive.

The Cougars have made it to the Saturday games of the winner take all FMYSA 12U City Championship tournament.  It’s a single elimination tournament, so we have to win the next two games in order to take home the trophy.  This is the last year for the Cougars to play ball as a team.  Some will move on to a Select league, some will find another Rec team to be a part of, some will find a new sport altogether, but all will take with them fond memories of their coach and fellow teammates.  I am sure of it!!

BUT, first things first.  We have some business to take care of.  Tonight’s game came with a little prize of its own.  The coach will be sporting blue hair, including facial hair on Saturday. 🙂  This is a good thing considering that he has thrown the parents under the bus for the next incentive.  If the Cougars are victorious and become the 2013 FMYSA 12U Champions, the parents will be taking the pitcher’s mound for a little Gangnam style dance.  There may be a few parents on the team who have some dance moves.  I am equally sure there are a few of US who will look a little like we fell off the rhythm bus when it was rolling into the station to pick up the rhythm.  I’ve been on Youtube to see if I could find some lessons so I would at least have the right steps.  The only dance this girls knows is the 2-step and I’m not EVEN sharing those stories on here.  😉  And like most good stories…my friends better zip it!  🙂

So…for those of you who may not know what I’m talking about…here you go!
