I was just looking around on Youtube for some songs to post for Music Monday. I figured since we are going to see Stephen Curtis Chapman, Josh Wilson and Andrew Peterson on Friday, I’d choose a few of their songs, brag about getting to go and call it a post.
I didn’t really find anything from Andrew Peterson I wanted to post…maybe I will fall in love with his music in person.
I did find a couple of Stephen Curtis Chapman songs from the past that fit really well with the place God has me in this season of my life. This first one reminded me of a conversation I was just having the other day about ponds and rivers. The conversation was really about what God has called me to be, but this song speaks pretty well to where my thoughts went after that conversation.
And, I don’t know about anyone else, but life really seems to go by pretty fast when you look back. I sure hope I can look back on mine and see plenty of adventures that God has taken me on. Adventures beyond my wildest dreams! Why not?
And the real reason we are going to this concert…Josh Wilson. I still remember the day my handsome fella came home excited about a new song he had heard. Don’t tell anyone, but I think he may have been a bit choked up by the lyrics. I love that about my fella. I love that the lyrics to this song touched his heart. Didn’t surprise me at all…that is the kind of heart this fella of mine has!!
Oh, and a shout out and thank you to my good friend Sara Townsley who is keeping the girls and let me know Josh Wilson was coming to town!!
