Time with Your Most Loved One

What happens when you spend time with your favorite person? What does it do for your mood? How does it make you feel the rest of the day? Do you recall the conversation the rest of the day or week? Do you leave anticipating the next time you can get together with that person? Do you make a point to check your calendar and get something scheduled so too much time doesn’t pass before you meet up again? Do you protect your time together so that nothing interferes with those precious moments? Do you look them in the eyes while you are with them? If they happen to be your significant other do you hold hands while you are spending those precious moments together?

What if that is how you looked at your relationship with Jesus? What if you protected your relationship and time with Him the way you do other significant people in your life? These verses have jumped off the page at me this week as I’ve made my relationship with Him a priority above everyone and everything else.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye. – Psalm 32:8

Nevertheless I am continually with You;
You hold me by my right hand. – Psalm 73:23

And this song is stirring something deep in my heart this week that I can’t explain.

  1. Thanks for letting me camp out in your blog for a little while today. I had a great time and tried to leave my campsite as good as when I arrived. I’m following you, so I’ll be back!
