So, He said to take every thought captive. I’m good at taking a thought captive…and torturing the poor thing. Some of those thoughts get a good dose of water boarding in my head. I hang on to them and give them a thorough investigation. I gather all the information out of them I possibly can by my mad pondering skills. If I can’t decide what to do with them and I haven’t figured out a way to use them I lock them up in the deep dark recesses of solitary confinement. That’ll teach em a lesson not to mess with me.
Uh, that’s not exactly what He meant is it?
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.” – 2 Corinthians 10:3-5
